Shekinah King was awarded Madison Area Music Awards 2022 Pop Song of the Year for her song, “I Got It From My Mom.” She performs regularly throughout Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. The Waunakee Project Brave Band was formed in 2021 after a group of people came together to bring light to their community during a traumatic season. The Waunakee community has lost several people to suicide, mental health and drug related incidents over the years. They believe music is a key ingredient in coping with and healing from trauma and combined with treatment and healthy practices can help people live a joyful, productive life!
