Kurt Quickel – Lead Guitar
I was born and raised in a small town in Illinois called Streator. I started playing the guitar in 1983. I majored in music for a few years at Southern Illinois University, where I studied classical guitar. After college I joined the United States Marine Corps. I moved to the Madison area in 1999 and have worked for the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) since moving here. I founded the classic rock band The Retro Specz in 2010 and continue performing with them all over Wisconsin.
Todd Osborne – Bass Guitar
Todd is a licensed Home Inspector and drone pilot and owns Orion Inspections. He is also an established musician and performer who has performed internationally. He has spent many years as an on-air personality at radio stations across the country and owns Osborne Audio, an audio production company providing voice-acting for education, entertainment, and commercial entities.
Scott Mooney – Drummer
I’ve owned the Milio’s in town since 2015, but I have worked for the company previously since 1991. My grandfather, father and brother all played the drums, so I had sticks in my hand since I was 2 or 3 and I currently have two nephews that play as well.
Project Brave is important to me because I’ve lost several people in the prime of their life to suicide or overdose including members of my Milio’s team. I’ve also had people in my life that were on the edge of that fate, found help and because of that, are thriving.
